Cisco Nexus Engineer
Location: Wyton, Cambridgeshire (onsite)
Rate: Up to £600 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract: 3 months initial (extension likely)
Clearance: SC required, DV preferred

We are supporting a secure client environment and are looking for an experienced Cisco Nexus Engineer to deliver a short-term, high-impact piece of work within a complex infrastructure estate.
This role will involve full lifecycle delivery, working closely with the client to understand the current environment, deploy new infrastructure, and lead a structured migration and testing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build a Cisco Nexus cluster using vPC across two Nexus 3k core switches
- Migrate Layer 3 routing from an existing Nexus 9k core switch
- Carry out installation, configuration, and deployment of network infrastructure
- Develop and produce HLD, LLD, and supporting technical documentation
- Create and execute detailed test plans to support migration and validation
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effectively
- Support the decommissioning of legacy infrastructure following successful migration
Required Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus and NX-OS environments
- Proven background in network installation, configuration, and migration work
- Experience with vPC and data centre switching
- Ability to deliver end-to-end project work, not just BAU support
- Experience working within secure or defence environments
