Develop, document and implement commodity strategies, ensuring alignment of all stakeholders. Ensure the category management approach supports standardised processes, acknowledges lessons learnt and good practice, and delivers improved operational efficiency.
Devise, own and deliver category annualised savings and cost avoidance plans
Source new products and services in line with policies, processes, strategy and best practice. In assigned commodities, manage risk within the supply chain through commodity knowledge, checking supplier capabilities and financial health and ensuring contractual arrangements protect the clients' best interests.
Conduct tender activity to ensure best value for money from the market across cost, quality and service parameters.
Engage with multiple cross- divisional and cross-functional stakeholders, to ensure that Indirect Procurement sourcing activities align to key operational objectives and expectations.
Act as an Ambassador of the central Procurement organisation with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, supporting divisions/sites in delivery of annual cost, quality & delivery objectives for assigned commodities.
Develop and deploy (in conjunction with Division and central teams) Indirect Procurement processes, practices and reporting, to drive continuous improvement and align activities.
Manage stakeholders and key suppliers through routine effective business reviews, to understand and positively influence vendor performance, future opportunities, and/or challenges.
