Purpose of Role

Senior member of the Capital Modelling team. To support and contribute to the efficient and timely delivery of the assessment, aggregation and reporting of all quantifiable risks in order to inform decision making as well as to meet regulatory requirements. To help promote the use and understanding of the Internal Model and its outputs within the business.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Accountable for the delivery of the Solvency II/Lloyd's regulatory capital reporting requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, the SCR submissions to Lloyd's (i.e. LCR forms and all other associated returns), application of the model change policy for model updates and the production of the annual PRA Internal Model Output (IMO) submissions to Lloyd's.
  • Collaborate with teams across the syndicate to ensure the model adequately reflects the latest view of the syndicate risk profile and to contribute to the validation of the Internal Model.
  • To support effective Internal Model Governance.
  • To produce and present analysis/documentation for the above to senior management and the Internal Model Governance Committee ('IMGC').
  • To promote, encourage and support model use across the business.
  • To support model development to enhance the CMT processes and the model use across the business.
  • Conducting adhoc analysis/investigations as they may arise including assisting across other areas of the team, for example business planning investigations, stress and scenario testing, ORSA, AFR.

Person Specification

Experience

The person should have 5 plus years general insurance work experience, ideally in capital modelling in the Lloyd's market. We are looking for someone that will be enthusiastic and hardworking. The candidate should show initiative and must enjoy working with other areas of the business.

Qualifications

Quantitative background is a must
Ideally is a qualified general insurance Actuary

Desired Skills

Good working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Igloo experience desirable
Enjoys investigating and solving problems
Good communication skills, both written and oral
