An exciting opportunity for an experienced Software Engineer to join a company that is leading digital transformation in the energy sector. This individual will work to maintain and support key software security tools which enable products worldwide. The focus of this team is the delivery of commercial security and licensing solutions to protect software for the energy sector.
Joining a team of software domain experts inventing, designing, and applying disruptive cutting-edge technologies to enable their customers to increase reliability, efficiency, and integration. You'll apply your skills to design, develop, and test software. Whether you're creating new products in transformational programs or enhancing existing ones, you'll have the opportunity to listen to what each customer needs and bring all the elements together to provide solutions.
To be successful the you must be comfortable working in an Agile software development environment, be able to demonstrate strong initiative, as well as proactively collaborating with other groups.
Required Experience:
Multiple years of commercial experience developing in C++
Good understanding of Windows and LINUX
Excellent time-management, multi-tasking, and communication skills. Capable of juggling multiple projects and related complexities at the same time.
Ability to combine technical skills and design sensibilities
Willingness to be involved in both on-prem and cloud-based projects
Exposure to any of the following would be advantageous:
Experience with Azure DevOps
Experience with Cloud computing (e.g. Google Cloud Platform & Microsoft Azure)
Experience with security concepts, in particular, authn/z in web tokens and symmetric and asymmetric cryptography
Scripting - e.g. bash and Python
