Business Development Manager
Overview of Role
Our nationwide client is looking for a new Business Development Manager. Whilst the base for this client is in the Scottish central belt, this role is open to anyone within the United Kingdom as they are open to remote candidates.
In this role, you shall be responsible for generating and creating new sales leads and opportunities, whilst also assisting with the growth of strong relationships with potential clients to secure meetings. You will also help in the preparation of proposals and pitches, to make sure that, when necessary, work in relation to these are finalised by appropriate team members.
The role is within a team of sales professionals that are highly specialised and responsible for the creation and the closing of all new business.
What will the role involve?

  • Conducting and analysing marketplace research and trends
  • Identify, respond, and manage the sales meeting process
  • Continue to develop future pipeline
  • Build relationships with key internal stakeholders
  • Represent the business by selling a full portfolio of services
  • Assist in developing a strong recognised brand and product portfolio
  • Acquiring new client accounts by finding and delivering meetings
  • Build strong, multi layered relationships with new clients and supervise that decision makers and key decision influencers are highlighted and taken note of
  • The business development manager is responsible for delivering meetings that will meet the minimum requirements of new revenue generation at the set margin levels across all services and for all clients
  • Achieving agreed meeting targets
  • Create reports that are updated with relevant information
  • Hit pre-set KPI`s related towards generating opportunities
  • Prepare and help in the delivery of business proposals and presentations for potential clients
  • Help in the preparation required for pitches
  • Be present in new business meetings with the assistance of Group Business Development Director
  • Be present in pitches under the guidance of Group Business Development Director to grow your own personal development
  • Manage and assist the tasks, as well as the performance of Business Development Executive, in relation to KPI's


  • You have great communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Comfortable and excellent on the telephone
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • A concrete understanding of the sales process cycle
  • Operate within the pitch process and timelines
  • Ability to prepare accurate and timely contact reports
  • Current knowledge of all things digital
  • Be able to commit to and operate within strict deadlines
  • Great analytical skills
