Summary:

Our client is currently searching for a Business Assurance Specialist to join their team in London. Within this role, you will work with your colleagues in the RCA team to bring together a complete overview of all of Digital's strategic plans, their dependencies, and their link to value creation and Digital's North Star Goals. You'll be working with our CFUs and CUs to integrate product and process changes with Digital's plans. You will do this by also being a great coach, supporting teams across Digital to develop their adoption of Agile methods and tools, supporting and empowering teams to make decisions that will enable their success.

Responsibilities:

  • This role will be supporting the Risk Reporting and Governance team to improve the quality of risk and control reporting, actions and data. This will help drive better quality decisions by the Networks, Digital and Corporate Units Leadership teams
  • Risk Action Improvement: Reviewing all actions associated with Digital, Networks and GBS and Digital. Challenging the units to ensure they align with the BT Risk Deliverables and Best practice guide and are in-step with the Transformation programmes where applicable. Ensure they align with actions from other risks from across the other units and Group Risk Categories.
  • Control Actions Improvement: Reviewing all actions associated with the key control gaps across Digital, Networks and Corporate Units. Implement and monitor a controls dashboard to ensure an effective control environment.
  • Retiring legacy risks registers: Reviewing legacy risk registers across Networks and Digital to understand their use. Use the BT Risk triage to identify the best governance under the BT Risk framework. Work closely with risk leads to plan this transition where needed.
  • Planning the best governance for Networks and Digital enduring risks to supporting Risk Management Entity reporting, with a focus on key controls metrics and assurance.


Skills Required:

  • Risk Management
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills with the strong ability to communicate effectively at senior levels of management in Digital, Networks & Corporate Units.
  • experienced in the use of risk management and assurance frameworks and tools including the Three Lines of Defence model.
  • Ability to use data and reporting to drive risk insights and quality decision making.
  • Strong Project management experience

Experience Required:

  • Experience in risk and assurance leadership in organisations with significant complexity
  • Strong understanding of the application of the three lines of defence model.
  • Good familiarity with risk management tools and techniques.
  • Managed Risk within technology projects with multiple dependencies
  • Knowledge about risk assurance & compliance, IT & Digital Landscape and Transformation initiatives
  • Track record in Project Management (enterprise-scale)
  • Building and delivering communications to senior stakeholder
