contract: 5 months
£425 per day - Umbrella only (inside IR35)

Role purpose / summary

As Business Analyst/Billing Product SME, the candidate would be required to:

    • Provide end to end technology solution for the business requirements that align with underlying architecture and supporting system.
    • Work with product team, operations and business group to understand and gather requirements.
    • Produce Design documentation to a high standard that clearly articulates solution.
    • Work with vendor and various internal technology team to design end-to-end solution to the business requirements.
    • Escalate risks and issues that emerge from requirements gathering and solution design to governance forum.
    • Analyse various integration points and arrive at the integration rules, attributes and data to meet business requirements.
    • Actively participate in Agile Ceremonies and contribute in project planning and identifying any risks and dependencies.


What will you be doing?

  • Undertake analysis with stakeholders to discover business needs and requirements.
  • Drive concept solutions playing a techno functional role to bring new ideas to life, enable the definition of high-level business and operational architectures and designs.
  • Work with Business, Product, Operations and other stakeholders using standard techniques to gather business requirements (functional and related non-functional) and document them using right tools.
  • Deliver business requirements with appropriate quality, on time in accordance with the project plan.
  • Understand the Business proposition, business case, validate and challenge as appropriate
  • Challenge requirements and scope against the business case
  • Work with solution architect and other technology team in translating the business requirements into technology solution.
  • Manage and control scope creep, drive incremental MVP to unlock business value faster
  • Raise requirements to development teams by writing user stories. Ensure all stories are refined and made ready for development and testing in collaboration with developers and testing colleagues.
  • Support and contribute in creating Product Vision and Architecture Vision documents to highlight the impact of each deliverable to the overall Billing technology estate, and operational processes.
  • Participate and present the above artefacts at governance forum as per standard Barclays Technology processes


What we're looking for:

    • Experience in Banking and Finance covering payments landscape and corporate billing for large banks.
    • Experience with requirement gathering and working with multiple teams to arrive at solution.
    • Experience of working within a SDLC and/or Agile project environment.
    • Should have worked as Business Analyst / Product SME for Corporate Billing application in large Banks.
    • Should be able to create various design and architecture diagrams in order to clearly articulate the solution to the business problem or requirement.
    • Should have strong presentation skills to clearly present and convey the architecture and solution for various business and technology requirements and problems and get agreement from stakeholders.
    • Good knowledge and understand of Corporate Banking domain covering various functions across payments and cash management.
    • Experience in Corporate Billing and Pricing application that offers central global billing capabilities to bank by ingesting data from various applications in Corporate Banking for computing and generating bills using sophisticated pricing and billing rules.


Skills / experience

    • Project management skills to be able to work with project manager in planning deliveries and tracking progress.
    • Management and Billing), MiRevenue or such other global billing application in banking domain.
    • Ability to get into the details of any technical or functional issues and provide support to the team.
