Business Analyst

Location: Remote Based

We are actively looking to secure a Business Analyst to join Experis as one of our expert consultants, delivering services to our clients.

The Project


Replacement of (Asset Inventory Management System) AIMS: The current application is an off the shelf systems that is scheduled to be retired by the end of 2021. Looking at other options to streamline and mitigate the convoluted data integration. Architects are working on a series of options that will replace Planning and then replace Planning and Inventory, using a more efficient data repository. The overall aim is to identify opportunities to plan and deliver an overall system that aligns with the corporate objectives for data and real-time web access.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A proven track record of Business Analysis throughout the project lifecycle; from eliciting user requirements that accurately capture user needs in formats tailored to suit the intended audience(s), to procurement, delivery and implementation of successful solutions / services;
  • A sound analytical mind and able to clearly structure and effectively communicate high level and detailed business requirements;
  • Strong business process modelling skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills - managing relationships at all levels with business and IT subject matter experts, internal and external stakeholders (such as members of the public and professional partners), and service / product suppliers;
  • The ability to prioritise and manage workloads within tight timescales and budgetary constraints;
  • Experience of mapping out 'as-is' and 'to-be' landscape and undertaking gap analysis;
  • Experience in business change, rationalisation and transformation;
  • Ability to work independently, proactively and with versatility in responding to changing circumstances;
  • An eye for detail, excellent communication skills and be able to interrogate reported information and challenge sources where inconsistencies are found.
  • Sound understanding of IT principles, to be able to knowledgeably assess the potential business impacts of a proposed technical solution.
  • As an expert in the field, be willing and able to take on mentoring and upskilling activities of internal staff BA's who are more junior/less experienced, as a part of your project role.

It would be advantageous to also have:

  • Government Digital Services (GDS) experience
