Business Analyst

The Opportunity
As part of the IT Services Delivery Team, we are looking to appoint an experienced Business Analyst based out of our client's Farnborough location. Working within a matrix management structure and reporting to both a functional and a delivery manager, you will undertake the production of requirements documentation within an IT services, secure environment.
In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers, IT Architects and service stakeholders to ensure designs can be produced to exceptional quality standards. In this highly visible position, you will be able to effectively liaise directly with development, delivery and operational teams, taking accountability for producing business cases and proposals and ensuring business plans, where appropriate, are in place.
Key responsibilities include:
- Elicitation and documentation requirements to include:
- Functional, non-functional, data and technical requirements
- Process models
- Data flows and changes
- Analysis of systems integration points to determine changes to data flows
- Analysis of processes
- Production of gap analysis
- Elicitation and documentation of expected business and IT benefits
- To work with the Solution Architects in determining solutions which are fit for purpose
- Production of business analysis plans, where appropriate
- To keep current with trends, issues and developments within the defence / technology domain
- Collaborate with Senior Business Analyst, Project Manager and Solution Architect in the construction of business cases and proposals
