Key responsibilities of the role include facilitating the syndicated and bilateral loan closing, servicing, loan trading and quality review processes. Activities include but are not limited to performing legal documentation review, structuring and updating deal parameters on Loan IQ system, tracking legal and compliance documentation, and providing overall support on the assigned loan portfolio. Loan Operations Specialist is also responsible for ongoing portfolio management tasks including tracking for receipt of borrower financials & compliance, monitoring deal pricing, managing secondary loan sales, tracking and processing loan documentation, and closing deal amendments. This position manages the relationship with the middle office, syndication desk, legal, finance, borrowers and syndicate banks. Loans Operations activities will include but are not limited to:


  • Deliver documentation negotiation management and transaction execution of credit facilities and ancillary documentation including legal documentation across corporate lending
  • Work within capital facilities focusing on bilateral and syndicated transactions and a sound knowledge of LMA and market standards
  • Work with stakeholders and suggest appropriate solutions with Corporate Bankers, finance, Legal, Credit and Tax communications as necessary and manage any issues in a timely manner
  • Manage Reporting, preparation of legal documentation, negotiations, credit agreements and sale lending

Skills and Experience:

  • A strong understanding of credit execution, transaction management, deal negotiation, credit products and banking processes as well as syndicated and bilateral loans
  • Strong understanding of lending products and agreements example loans in particular LMA and traditional trade products
  • Must have experience of working within Banking or investment finance
  • Must have a clear understanding of loan agreements, loan lifecycle and the accompanying legal documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to manage relationships, both internally and externally
  • Good organizational skills, and ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, including strong prioritization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

This role is initially based in the UK from home but will need regular commutes to London.
