Role Description and Location
An Azure Platform Engineer who can successfully integrate a mobile application with a Kubernetes‑based backend needs a blend of cloud architecture depth, DevOps maturity, and application‑integration awareness. Someone who can bridge mobile‑app needs with cloud‑native infrastructure in a secure, scalable way.
- Core Technical Attributes
- Azure Cloud Expertise
- Strong command of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Experience with Azure API Management for exposing backend services to mobile apps
- Familiarity with Azure Functions, Event Grid, Service Bus, and other integration services
- Understanding of Azure networking: VNets, private endpoints, Application Gateway, WAF, load balancers
- Knowledge of Azure Identity (Azure AD, Managed Identities, OAuth2, OpenID Connect)
- Kubernetes & Containerization
- Proficiency with containerization (Docker)
- Ability to design and operate production‑grade AKS clusters
- Experience with Helm, Kustomize, or other deployment templating tools
- Understanding of service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, or Azure‑native Open Service Mesh)
- Observability stack experience: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Azure Monitor
