Overview:
As a 3rd Line Support Directories Engineer, you will be self-sufficient and have recognized specialist skills in supporting multiple products to maintain the availability and security of the service. You will also deliver medium complexity work packages as part of customer implementation projects and be able to understand complex situations and activities, additionally being able to communicate basic technical information to non-technical people.
Role Responsibilities, 3rd line support of:
- Provide technical guidance and assistance to the 1st/2nd Line teams.
- Dealing with technical escalations from the SOC and NOC teams in relation to Incidents and Service Request fulfilment.
- Delivery and operation of the Account architecture and solution for the duration of the Contract Term to include patching, software releases and new functionality as required.
- Reporting timely and accurate information on progress to the Lead Service Delivery Manager
- Providing training and knowledge for the SOC and NOC teams
- Providing advice and guidance in relation to proposed Changes and Releases ensuring that the risk to availability and security is mitigated.
- Identifying and championing potential improvement opportunities.
Experience required:
- Infrastructure: VMWare vSphere; Windows Server; Windows AD, DNS, WSUS and RDS; McAfee AV; SQL Server 2017 or later; Exchange Server; and SharePoint
- Storage products: NetApp
- Security products: Deep Secure, Garrison, Isode (Chat and Directory); and SafeNet (Hardware Security Modules)
- SIEM products: Splunk
- Service products: CA Technologies
- DV cleared
