IT Field Support Engineer 2nd & 3rd Line - £40,000 + 5k Car Alowance or Car + Bens
Windows OS, Network - Routers Switches /basic troubleshooting of Windows Server2012/2016/2019, Rack Stack, Data Migration, Office 365, Azure exposure a plus, Active Directory, On Site Support
Working on behalf of a large UK based company we are currently seeking an experienced 2nd & 3rd Line IT Support Engineer / Field Engineer so carry out onsite support of numerous site locations. Mainly based out of Birmingham with travel required this is a very autonomous job where you will manage your own day-to-day visits. You may carry out an array of tasks including but not limited to decommissioning, of Windows Servers / Installations of new. Investigate Network Connectivity, Investigate and resolve Windows desktop related issues, Hardware/Software fault finding. Office 365 admin and support. Project related work will also be undertaken
This position would suit someone Midlands Based
Experience required
- Experience in a IT Field Engineering role
- Experience supporting desktops computing (extensive Windows & Office 365 etc), networking ( less hands on) and server (again less hands on experience more hardware)
- Ability to work alone & troubleshoot issues unaided
- Methodical approach to job role and daily tasks
- Ability to perform hardware break fixes
- Good working knowledge of windows desktop & server operating systems Windows 10 Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, Office 365, Active Directory, Vmware./Hyper-V
- Capable of LAN (Local area network) troubleshooting (Basic to intermediate)
- Understanding of Network patching and principles
- Understanding the requirement for extended travel where required
- Basic support of network firewalls
