Experis are working with a multinational car leasing company who are hiring for a 1st line support/technical support engineer in Swindon

Overview of the contract details

  • £170 per day Inside IR35
  • 1 month initial contract
  • 5 days on site in Swindon

As an overview of the role you will:

  • Provide first-line technical support to users via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Log and manage support tickets using the company's ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Escalate complex issues to second-line support or relevant departments as necessary.
  • Ensure all support requests are resolved within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Support software applications and ensure they are up to date.
  • Perform basic network troubleshooting and support.
  • Assist with user account management, including password resets and access permissions.

You will need to have experience with:

  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and software applications.
  • Understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other common software applications.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
