Training and Adoption Lead

Our client is embarking on one of the largest digital experience transformations globally, completely rethinking how their services are offered both in the UK and internationally. This programme will be the most innovative, technology driven initiative to be executed within the industry over the coming years.

Overview:

As part of the Change Team for the Digital Engagement programme, you will work with team members and key stakeholders to help define the future state from the programme, draw up training and adoption strategies which enable the University to transition to the new state, and use your expertise to assess and understand the speed at which new methods of delivering student recruitment marketing can be embedded in our day-to-day working practices

Role Responsibilities:

Capability Analysis and Planning

  • Define the overall strategy for learning and development for the programme, drawing on capability analysis, change management plans, and collaborating with affected business areas and our delivery partner Accenture
  • Define the talent management approach to be used to identify and support existing members of affected teams to work closely with the programme and accelerate the development of their capabilities
  • Work with business owners and affected teams to ensure implementation plans are in place for training rollouts to all affected stakeholders
  • Define metrics for evaluating how successful learning activity is at upskilling teams and enabling them to get the most out of changes we are introducing

Learning facilitation and evaluation

  • Lead the design and delivery of learning and development activity in relation to the programme, specifically in relation to Adobe Experience Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365, marketing processes and behaviours. Example activities will include but are not limited to coaching, mentoring, facilitating job rotations, peer-to-peer training, workshops, developing reference materials, e-Learning and instructor led sessions
  • Work with the SCRUM Master/Agile Coach to support with the development of Agile capabilities across the Digital Engagement Product Team and University marketing and student recruitment teams
  • Create a culture of continuous learning by embedding training into day- to-day activities of affected teams to promote adoption of new ways of working
  • Based on evaluation, arrange for alterations to be made to learning activities and resources if required

Driving and evaluating adoption

  • Utilise the change network (Digital Engagement User Group) as a group of people to support adoption and as a mechanism to feed into learning requirements
  • Take an active role in the measurement and monitoring of benefits realisation for the people element of change, and refine activity in relation to this as needed
  • Work with the Business Change Lead, Agile Marketing Process Lead, Accenture, the Digital Engagement Product Team and affected teams in the definition of a clear handover plan for the programme
  • Ensure necessary handover documentation is in place and that there is clarity of ongoing ownership in relation to programme deliverables upon sign off of handover

Essential skills & experience:

  • Experience performing capability and learning needs analysis
  • Experience creating and delivering e-Learning, instructor led sessions and written learning content, and tailoring content to different styles and personas
  • Experience of defining evaluation metrics for learning activity and performing evaluations
  • Experience in creating handover documentation
  • Experience in defining and agreeing RACIs for ongoing ownerships of new ways of working
  • Industry recognised learning and development qualification or equivalent

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Experience in delivering learning activity for systems or platform implementations
  • Experience in delivering learning activity for Adobe Experience Cloud and Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Experience of building capabilities in marketing processes and practices
  • Knowledge of accessibility issues and their application to online learning materials
