Overview
We are seeking a Supply Chain Planner to work for a global tech giant, joining a high-performing team supporting large-scale infrastructure operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong analytical mindset, deep experience in supply chain planning, and a passion for data-driven decision-making.
The successful candidate will work across forecasting, inventory management, supplier engagement, and reporting, helping to ensure that infrastructure equipment is deployed efficiently and cost-effectively across global sites.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Forecasting
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts across multiple infrastructure categories.
- Strategically position inventory to meet future operational needs.
- Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) for engineering components.
- Analyse inventory trends and performance using Power BI and other tools.
Operations & Reporting
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives.
- Lead production meetings with internal stakeholders to monitor execution.
- Publish production planning reports and insights.
- Conduct deep-dive analytic to ensure supply continuity and identify optimisation opportunities.
- Apply manufacturing best practices to supplier engagement and inventory control.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in SQL (query writing, joins, performance optimisation).
- Strong experience with Power BI (DAX, semantic models, dashboard design).
- Skilled in Python for data transformation and analytics.
- Solid understanding of data modelling and relational databases.
- Experience with ETL pipelines and large datasets (e.g., Lakehouse, Data Factory).
- Ability to design scalable reporting solutions for various audiences.
- Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years in supply chain management (essential).
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (essential).
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (essential).
- Strong analytical skills in forecasting and inventory management.
- Experience working in infrastructure or data centre environments (desirable).
- Comfortable navigating complex organisational structures.
- Adaptable to shifting business priorities and ambiguous situations.
