Role: Solution Architect - Cyber Resiliency Team
Location: Manchester or Glasgow
On-site Requirements: 3 days per week
Duration: until 31 December 2025
Rate: £800 per day - PAYE via Umbrella Only
Role Summary:
This role is positioned at the intersection of business process design and operational resilience. While titled as a Solution Architect, the focus is on designing and optimising the end-to-end lifecycle of Business Service Response Plans (BSRPs)-from creation and review to invocation and exit-ensuring they are practical, accessible, and effective during both BAU and crisis scenarios.
Key Responsibilities:
- BSRP Process Ownership:
- Lead the design and simplification of the BSRP lifecycle, ensuring plans are easy to create, maintain, access, and execute during resilience events.
- Strategic Alignment:
- Understand and articulate the purpose of BSRPs and their contribution to the Group's overall resilience posture.
- Ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and internal resilience frameworks.
- Process Design & Optimisation:
- Redesign the cyclical review process for BSRPs to reduce complexity and improve usability. Define how BSRPs are invoked, monitored, and exited during real-time events.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with FMI relationship owners, IBS owners, and resilience leads across business units to embed BSRP processes into operational routines.
- Architecture Enablement:
- Support the implementation of a centralised architecture for BSRP documentation and access, enabling rapid response and recovery during incidents.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong background in business process design, ideally within financial services or operational resilience programmes.
- Familiarity with resilience frameworks and regulatory expectations related to critical business services.
- Ability to work across business and technical domains, translating resilience needs into practical process and tooling improvements.
- Excellent project management and reporting skills, with a track record of delivering simplification and process improvement initiatives.
- Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
