My client a large global brand is looking for an experienced Software Engineer/Senior Developer on a permanent basis. As a Software Engineer, you will design and develop new software and maintain existing products.
Working alongside a cross site multi-functional team you will be working on our next generation software products on a modern Windows 10 based platform. You will design and develop control software for new product development and to support existing products. Our products are both unique and complex and span a wide portfolio which is unmatched in our market. Using modern technologies, you will have the opportunity to grow within an increasingly software focused research and development group and influence future product direction.
The role purpose of the role would be as follows:
- Work with both local and international teams to design, implement and test software products, according to specifications.
- Work with Applications Development to understand requirements and validate development work
- Work with the team, in an agile manner
- Work with other engineers and applications staff in system development tasks as required.
- Undertake software maintenance of existing products.
- Ensure that all source code and documents worked on are adequately backed up and stored under change control software.
- Document software designs and products to facilitate their maintenance as required
- Compliance with Company procedures and controls (ISO 9001 & 14001) as defined.
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of current IT and programming technology.
- Perform other duties that may be required from time to time.
