Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
The ServiceNow Developer and Administrator will be responsible for the support, maintenance, upgrade, and implementation of new features and enhancements on the clients ServiceNow instance. This role will involve ensuring the integrity of ServiceNow across both production and non-production environments and identifying business solutions for ITIL users. Key responsibilities include:

  • Expert development of ServiceNow Configuration Items (CIs), reports, and integrations (APIs, mid-server, and Integration Hub).
  • Maintaining the integrity of ServiceNow across production and non-production environments.
  • Identifying and defining business solutions for ITIL users.
  • ServiceNow ITSM and HR experience.
  • Experience with Employee Service Centre configuration and setup.
  • Implementing modern and legacy solutions such as the Polaris UI and new Workspace solutions.
  • Creating new service catalog requests and items with variables.
  • Creating, monitoring, modifying, and publishing service catalog workflows with approvals.
  • Creating and using update sets to move customisation between systems.
  • Implementing SSO solutions utilising Azure Active Directory/Entra ID.
  • Understanding ITIL v3 methodologies.
  • Maintaining business services and configuration items in ServiceNow.
  • Working with business users to identify and refine business requirements and workflows.
  • Assisting in troubleshooting patch/release management issues.
  • Aiding in translating business requirements into technical requirements.
  • Implementing new functionality and features.
  • Developing UI forms, fields, notifications, workflows, JavaScript, and Angular.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases.
  • Preparing and delivering management briefings.
  • Communicating effectively at all levels, both technical and non-technical.

Essential Skills and Requirements:

  • Expert development of ServiceNow CIs, reports, and integrations (APIs, mid-server, and Integration Hub).
  • Proven experience maintaining the integrity of ServiceNow across production and non-production environments.
  • Strong understanding of business solutions for ITIL users.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITSM and HR modules.
  • Proficient in Employee Service Centre configuration and setup.
