Role Title: Service Manager
Location: Sheffield
Duration: 31/12/2025
Rate: £250 per day - PAYE via Umbrella only
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for improving system availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response
- Participate in production deployment & configuration of the application as needed.
- Proactively participate in resolving the issue before they impact production / client
- Work in 24*7 support model (on rotation basis)
- Manage and coordinate across teams during production activities & issue resolution.
- Identify the system improvement opportunities based on tracking product support requests or repetitive issues and makes recommendations to development and engineering on potential solutions.
- Possess/upskill knowledge of banking domain including but not limited to Cards, Payments, Lending and Onboarding.
- Coordinate with Engg / QA team to get permanent fix identified / deployed for reoccurring issues.
- Encourage building database of known issue & their troubleshooting steps.
- Conduct post-incident reviews
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have experience on cloud (preferably Google Cloud Platform), Kubernetes.
- Must have worked on micro-services architecture, implementation & deployments.
- Must have understanding (good if Hands-on) on DevOps, Jenkins, CI/CD.
- Should have working knowledge on Nexus3, GitHub, JIRA, Mule, APM tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Command over distributed applications/enterprise applications and possesses good knowledge on GCP, API/Micro services
- Possess/upskill knowledge of banking domain including but not limited to Cards, Payments, Lending and On-boarding
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification on GCP and Kubernetes and ITIL is plus point.
