Senior Project Manager - Digital Transformation

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our client, a global assurance provider, taking responsibility for, overseeing and ensuring the successful delivery and management of multiple projects.

Working across our Transformation and IT team, you will use your strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile and Lean to deliver complex projects across diverse teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review project proposal or plans to ascertain a time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements and the assignment of available department resources to various project phases.
  • Develop a business case along with business leaders that aligns with the vision of the organisation. Assess the need for change and readiness of organisation to embrace it.
  • Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle and confer with project teams to outline a work plan.
  • Identify and Engage stakeholders, understand their needs. Communicate purpose, benefit, and process change. Solicit feedback and input from stakeholders.
  • Act as a coach to junior members of the project team, executives and others who need assistance and advice regarding project management practices.

Skills and Requirements

  • An established background within IT with a focus on successfully managing complex projects.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing and developing Business Analysts and Project Managers.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodology and experience/certification with major defined PM approaches - e.g. Project Management Institute/PRINCE2 and agile approaches.
  • Proficiency with project planning and reporting tools.
  • Effective influencing and negotiating skills in an environment in which you may not directly control resources.
  • Exceptional organisational skills accompanied with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to build relationships with a broad set of stakeholders, across all levels within the organisation, showing that you are able to adapt your style and approach where necessary.
