Global client whose mission is for "Total Customer Satisfaction" are seeking modern technology talent to take them to the next level, and this objective has created the need for a Senior IDAM Engineer - Identity & Authentication Access Management
As the Senior Identity and Access Management (IDAM) Engineer, you will be responsible for making sure that every person, machine, or service has the right powers and permission, at the right time, and to make it an easy experience.
The role will sit within the Cloud Infrastructure Team who focus on Azure Cloud and Entra ID to support the clients infrastructure environment
Key Technical Expertise Required:
- Deep understanding of various authentication protocols and identity management solutions
- Experience in Microsoft IAM technologies, including Active Directory, Azure Engineer / MS Entra.
- MFA, Identity & Access Administrator
- Skills in Cloud computing services (O365/Microsoft Azure)
- Experience in Active Directory migrations and configurations
- Strong networking skills and experience with Virtualization technologies (Hyper-V / VMware)
- Experience of software deployment and orchestration tools: Docker or Kubernetes from an identity perspective.
- Basic programming knowledge related to application security
- Terraform experience with proven ability to deliver and manage infrastructure in a DevOps environment
- Understanding of cloud related concepts such as networking and security
- Solid grasp of ITIL around Release, Deployment and Change Management
Key Responsibilities:
- BAU Operations provisioning of Authentication & Authorisation through Microsoft technologies.
- User provisioning and deprovisioning, Modern Access Management options, such as single sign-on (SSO), federated identities, multi-factor authentication (MFA), PIM and Access Packages.
- Supporting and managing the Microsoft PKI Infrastructure, certificate management and best practises
- Supporting and managing critical credentials through the secret lifecycle within the production infrastructure
- Work with product owners and the IT team to support solution design and implementation of new or existing identity features
- Provide ongoing support for legacy platforms (including but not limited to Windows Server, Active Directory)
- Continually identify ways to optimise infrastructure to improve performance, reduce costs and duplication
- Contribute to project activities through delivery and supporting design and development stages
- Contribute to the roadmap for the infrastructure platform identifying modern technologies and identifying areas where these can benefit LRQA
- Provide and encourage the support and mentoring of the team in modern technologies and ways of working
- Be the escalation point for any issues related to IDAM and own problems and incidents until they are fully resolved
