We are exclusively partnering with our client an award winning leading International Insurance provider to recruit within their UK finance team. A great opportunity for a senior finance professional to lead a talented financial reporting team.
The position
You will ensure financial reporting to Lloyd's is delivered on time and desired quality level, in an effective control environment as well as producing Group SII reporting.
Take the lead to ensure production, quality assurance and delivery of required Lloyd's returns (UK GAAP and SII Basis) for Syndicate 457 and support the deliveries of Syndicate 1840
Hold full responsibility for the preparation and quality assurance of statutory accounts
Be instrumental in the improvement and automation of existing processes and then integrate them efficiently with the current Syndicate reporting process
You will be required to lead the Lloyd's reporting sub-team ensuring deliveries are made on time, to desired quality levels with sufficiently transparent information provided to senior management in order to sign off the returns.
In addition support team members with technical issues and/or IFRS group deliveries as well as actively contribute to the wider finance transformation program.
The Person
Qualified accountant ACCA/ACA/CIMA with insurance industry experience (ideally Lloyds reporting)
An in depth knowledge of Lloyd's accounting
Demonstrate detailed knowledge of UK GAAP, SII and IFRS
Have experience in end-to-end finance processes, such as Finance operations, Planning, Forecasting, Financial close, intercompany process and reporting
Team supervisory and or mentorship experience essential
Experience of managing and/or leading a range of accounting projects
Good working knowledge of IT software MS Office Excel, Word and Powerpoint essential
