Project Manager - Subcontractor Management

Location: Malvern (2-3 days in the office weekly - Tues, Weds and potentially Thurs)

The successful candidate would be willing and eligible to undergo SC Clearance.

We are actively looking to secure a Project Manager to join Experis as one of our expert consultants, delivering services to our clients.

Role Overview

Our client is a multinational defence technology company, who require a Project Manager to work on an exciting, complex software and hardware product development project. You will be working for the project's Programme Manager and will be responsible for Subcontractor Management, through Life Management elements of the project. Also, run the high-level assurance processes for hardware and software project activities.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Development of positive engagement with programme customers, partners and suppliers.
  • Delivery of the Programme outcomes, to agreed baseline
  • Ensuring programme members operate in line with the Operating Framework & functional competency management requirements; and have appropriate personal objectives recorded in the performance management system.
  • Resolving conflicts (including prioritisation calls) within the programme and collaborating across the business.
  • Leading the embedding of improvement in the project and programme management function, as agreed with IDT Leads and the Performance Excellence team.
  • Maintenance of forecasts (both financial and resource demand signal) for sales and delivery.
  • Application of governance requirements for foundation sales and delivery work.
  • Reporting progress on all accountabilities to IDT Lead (or their delegate).

Essential Experience:

  • Experience of working with complex subcontractor deliveries
  • Experience of working with high assurance projects
  • Ability to work independently
  • Travel to Malvern office 2-3 times a week
  • Willingness and eligibility to undergo SC Clearance
