Location: Solihull / Coventry (WFH at present)

We are actively looking to secure a Programme Planner to join Experis as one of our expert consultants, delivering services to our clients.

Role Description

Our Client is a global provider of specialised energy solutions. The Client's customers are at the heart of everything they do, whether it is providing new technology or building the next generation of smart cities. Right now, they are going through an exciting period of change and seeking an experienced Programme Planner to join their team, to work on a fast-paced transformation project, based out of Solihull and potentially Coventry.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert planning support and assist in the development of the planning processes; identification of key stakeholders; communication.

  • To develop, maintain and progress quality workstream and programme plans / schedules in line with the functional processes and transformation programme requirements.

  • Work across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to define and maintain the programme plan.

  • Maintain key inter-dependencies between projects and programmes confirming appropriate monitoring and action is undertaken as required in a timely manner.

  • Produce reporting to inform management of bottlenecks and risk areas. This may require you to attend/run daily stand-ups and ensure bottlenecks are escalate in a timely fashion to management for resolution.

  • Validate plans / schedules in line with the agreed strategy and base-lined plan ensuring that all functions use the change process to manage any variances to plan.

  • Lead workshops to define project deliverables and interrogate the plan.

  • Lead discreet initiatives to support strategic goals of the programme.

Experience Required:

  • Experience of planning and scheduling in complex design and development programmes and be able to understand and work with a technical and skill-diverse team.

  • Strong challenger mindset with the ability to influence and interrogate plan deliverables.

  • Expert experience in MS Project 2010 & 2016 is essential. Additionally, advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and Visio would be an advantage.

  • Proven ability to apply sound logic when translating information into a logical sequence of events (planning), which require fully linked dependencies.

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills. Experience of analysing programme & project plans, dependency management, baseline management and resource usage across a large programme.

  • Proficient in programme and project risk and issue management.

  • Experience of working with senior stakeholders cross functionally.

  • A working knowledge of project methodologies such as PRINCE2 or Agile.
