Role purpose:
You will be responsible for the global governance, compliance and procedural oversight for our pension's provisions across the 54 countries within which we operate. You will review our current processes to ensure we have robust processes in place to meet our compliance requirements. You will work with Reward, Payroll and People Services team to implement and ensure our pensions provisions are aligned to our strategic reward framework.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development, implementation and strategic enablement of our pension provision globally, ensuring legislative compliance and robust administrative governance processes.
Develop strategic options and advice for the future pension provision, ensuring resolution of critical issues and changes in governance procedures arising from new/changes in legislation and/or business requirements.
Working closely with the Global Head of Reward, Benefits team and wider People team define, design and implement pension programs that are compliant, competitive, innovative and cost efficient.
Lead and support the end-to-end delivery, implementation and the on-going optimisation and improvements of our pension compliance management system.
Provide timely communications on pensions to the Reward team, scheme members and colleagues, ensuring adherence to governance requirements and robust administration.
Keeping up to date with the global regulatory environment in which we operate and develop and implement our pension compliance framework in line with best practice. Identifying potential issues before they arise.
Working closely with members of the Reward and People team, optimise and implement solutions that result in improved pensions administration.
Establish, embed and oversee regular testing protocols and risk monitoring
Establish and Chair global pensions governance meetings with key stakeholders and external partners.
Partner with global brokers/local teams to develop and manage spend
Establish and effectively manage the relationship with external advisers, Actuaries, Consultants, Auditors, Solicitors and other key pension stakeholders.
Provide leadership on projects (i.e., redesign initiatives, key vendor implementations).
Proactively drive the pensions aspect of acquisitions, disposals and other corporate transactions from pre-contract negotiation stages to the post contract operations.
Ensure the timely preparation of scheme's report, accounts and member benefit statements
Oversee strong communication strategies for improved awareness and engagement so that this enhances the colleague experience by making it easy for employees to navigate their pensions.
In partnership with reward and procurement identify cost savings/avoidance opportunities.
Continually benchmark programs to ensure competitiveness including providing regular reporting and updates on changing legislation, market trends, thought leadership and competitive data.

Technical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or similar qualification in pension
  • Membership of the Pensions Management Institute or similar
  • Significant experience in a Pensions specialist role within a large global organisation is preferred
  • Global pensions governance and scheme design/management experience (DB/DC Schemes)
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport with key stakeholders and work well in a highly collaborative environment.
  • You will have a keen interest in developing market practices and trends, with focus on key risks and legislative considerations
  • Demonstrated project management skills with ability to drive complex cross-functional projects end to end to completion and clearly articulate progress to senior leaders.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to use data analysis to proactively derive insights and support fact-based decision making.
  • Be able to demonstrate strong communication skills to ensure understanding of complex concepts simply and clearly to senior stakeholders, with pro-active, problem solving, creative, agile, and operational skills.
  • Possess strong people partnering skills at all levels of Senior Leadership with the gravitas to proactively add value with internal and external stakeholders across a global, matrix environment.
