Job Title: Market Data Deal SME
Location: London - Hybrid working, 2 days onsite per week
Duration: Until 31 December 2025
Rate: £500 per day - Umbrella Only
Role Description:
- Barclays is looking for an SME to develop a deep knowledge of the vendor products/services the bank has access to for the consumption of market data.
- Responding to client queries on market data availability within the bank.
- Taking an active role in cost-saving project work such as vendor displacements or utilising better products to meet the business requirements.
- Working alongside DB's Market Data Technology teams to help setup new flows of data as per business demand.
Skillset required:
- Contract Negotiation: Expertise in negotiating contracts to secure favourable terms and conditions for the organisation. with knowledge of industry norms
- Deal Analysis: Ability to analyse deals to ensure they meet business objectives and provide value for money.
- Deal Benchmarking: Skills in benchmarking deals against industry standards to ensure competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
- RFP Execution: Proficiency in managing the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, from drafting to evaluation and selection.
- Business Requirements Gathering: Capability to gather and understand business requirements to ensure sourcing activities align with organisational needs.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement sourcing strategies that support long-term business goals.
- Analytical Skills: Expertise in data analysis to evaluate supplier commercials and model scenario based outcomes
- Communication: Excellent communication skills for coordinating with internal stakeholders and suppliers at senior levels.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Stakeholder Management: Proficiency in managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for sourcing initiatives. Ability to challenge using fact based analysis.
- Sourcing for Market Data Products and Services: Experience in sourcing market data products and services, ensuring the organisation has access to high-quality, cost-effective data solutions.
- Adaptability - ability to pivot to respond to changing demands/scenarios.
