Lab Technician/ Product Finishing Technician

Our customers undertake life-saving activities. These range from fundamental biological research to developing innovative vaccines, biologic drugs, and novel cell and gene therapies. Our job is to supply the tools and services - the pots, pans, soups and sauces - they need to work better, faster and safer, leading to better patient outcomes.
What you'll do
Based in the Biology manufacturing department at the Cardiff site, working in a laboratory environment. The role would entail manufacturing products such as Desalting columns for DNA and Protein Separation and PCR products for detection of human diseases such as Covid.
Automated and manual dispensing of liquid and lyophilized products
Packaging and labelling of finished products
Formulation of buffers
Highlighting any quality or manufacturing issues if they occur.
Basic Laboratory tasks such as cleaning, stock checks and disposing of laboratory waste.
Maintain good housekeeping and safety within the Laboratory by working with the area supervisor to complete chemical expiry checks, waste disposal, stock maintenance and PPE checks.
Conform to systems that aid with standard ways of working within the Biology manufacturing team.
Who you are
Have basic laboratory experience.
Have an eye for detail.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in an organised and logical manner to enable multi-tasking.
Ability to use own initiative to prioritise work schedule when required
Ability to work within a team environment.
Ability to be flexible, learn new tasks quickly and work across different teams and with different product ranges as required.
To have a working knowledge of Microsoft word and excel.
