IT Infrastructure Engineer - 2nd to 3rd Line Support - Nottingham, East Midlands,

£45,000pa to £50,000pa + On-Call Allowance + Excellent Benefits Package + Career Development for your Future.

You will report to the Client HQ in Nottingham HQ with Hybrid Working available.

PLEASE NOTE: DBS Check and SC Check as well as a Full Drivers License will be Required for this role.

Key Technical Skills Required:

All Microsoft Technologies including - Azure, Axure AD, Group Policy, O365, Windows Server Genealogy, Windows 10/11, SQL / MySQL, ServiceNow, Inhouse & Remote Devices, Laptops, Printers, Tablets, Android, Apple, VMware and/or Hyper-V, PowerShell, Service Operation Toolset experience (SolarWinds, Service Now etc), Cisco, WAN/LAN Administration including, "especially in a SDWAN / SD Branch".

This established and well known Legal company ranked No 1 in the UK for the past 3 years, are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and challenge orientated IT Infrastructure Engineer with solid 2nd and 3rd IT experience to enhance their IT Infrastructure Engineering Team based in Nottingham, East Midlands.

In this role you will work in an Infrastructure Engineering Team of 5 x Infrastructure Engineers and report into the Head of IT, this role is to work 5 days per week and the role requirements are:

Requirements for this Role:

  • Ensure the on-going operational efficiency of all aspects of the firms IT systems
  • Knowledge, and demonstrable experience, of WAN/LAN administration including, especially in a SDWAN / SD Branch configuration
  • Demonstrable knowledge of maintaining a virtualised/cloud server environment
  • Strong Active Directory domain administration including Azure, Azure AD and Microsoft O365 platforms
  • Experience of PowerShell would be highly advantageous
  • Extensive use of the most appropriate monitoring tools to proactively uphold the health and stability of the infrastructure
  • Provide 2nd Line diagnosis and resolution of Infrastructure incidents and service requests
  • To maintain server operating systems and to support network connectivity across multiple sites
  • Use trend analysis to prevent future problems and increase availability
  • Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and FAQ resources to aid in problem resolution and update knowledge bases with new identified fixes.
  • Be responsible for roadmap reporting on a chosen manufacturer
  • To undertake any other tasks reasonably required while performing the job, as set out by the Head of Infrastructure

Essential Technical Requirements:

  • All Microsoft Technologies including - Azure, Axure AD, Group Policy, O365
  • Windows Server Genealogy
  • Microsoft Desktop, Windows 10/11, SQL / MySQL, ServiceNow
  • Inhouse & Remote Devices, Laptops, Printers, Tablets, Android, Apple
  • VMware and/or Hyper-V, PowerShell, Service Operation Toolset experience (SolarWinds, Service Now etc)
  • Cisco, WAN/LAN Administration including, "especially in a SDWAN / SD Branch".
  • Wi-Fi, Networking - LAN WAN, Remote Connectivity
  • Experience of IT Infrastructure troubleshooting
  • Experience with hardware break/fix including Mobiles, Laptops / Desktops / Handheld Devices & Peripherals
  • Microsoft Windows 10 / 11 and Office 365
  • Meeting Room, TV, Media and Conferencing Equipment

Highly Desired Skills:

  • Holding any Technical Certifications, MCSE, VMware/VCP, Cisco, Fortinet etc
  • Understanding of ITIL service management processes
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes experience of working within an ITIL environment

General:

  • Share knowledge and expertise with others, coaching and supporting team members as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your line manager.
  • Providing specialist support to staff and teams within the firm.
