Job Role
Working to the Telephony Project Lead Architect, the Telephony Technical Architect works within the Telephony Project Architecture team and is responsible for understanding and elaborating client requirements and developing solutions that meet these requirements.
The focus of your role
You will define, design and deliver those aspects of the Telephony Project architectural solutions as assigned by the Lead Architect and take responsibility for ensuring that these technical solutions are delivered as originally defined and fit with the overall architecture strategy.
What you'll do
You will work closely with the Functional Consultants and Project Managers early in the project to help define and elaborate scope. You will successfully manage to the agreed technical scope during the project and take ownership of architectural solutions and non-functional requirements to ensure adherence to processes, policy, best practices and consistency with the client vision. You will be involved in the reviewing and scoping any changes to requirements as required either by the client or design elaboration. You will ensure a consistent approach to technical solutions and help refine the Enterprise Architecture. You may also be required to help manage any technical relationships with 3rd parties such as vendors or material sub-contractors.
Skills/Experience required
Experience of successful delivery of large complex architectures underpinned by end-to-end ownership of your delivery scope. Previous experience of Contact Centre Telephony is a must, as is an understanding of API Platform integration. You will be well versed in Cloud technologies and services, preferably with AWS and Azure.
It would be desirable to have AGILE development methodology experience and knowledge of PEGA's Cloud platform or Cloud Contact Centre platforms (e.g. Odigo, AWS Connect, Genesys, Avaya). Cyara products knowledge (such as Cruncher and Pulse) would be an advantage.
High-level of understanding Non-Functional Requirements and clarity in the mitigation of their impact on solutions. Good technical risk identification skills alongside their mitigation through early Proof of Concepts and as part of the overall Test Strategy.
Ability to govern and assure the technical delivery of high complexity implementations. Excellent communication, influencing and facilitation skills. Clear thinking and innovation; able to think strategically and to ensure client outcomes are always met. Assertiveness in dealing with people at all organisational levels, including 3rd parties, while building and sustaining collaborative working relationships. Proactive with a positive attitude.
