Infrastructure Analyst/Engineer

Merseyside - Salary paying up to £40,000 per annum (dependent upon experience)

*Role will be initially remote, but will require some office work*


(Networks, Networking, Infrastructure, Servers, Storage, 3rd line, third line, Microsoft Server, Citrix XenApp, Citrix, Veeam, Cisco, ccna, VMware)

An established National Service Provider who has been operating for circa 40 years are looking to modernise their IT infrastructure over the course of 2021 and as result are looking to expand their IT team and recruit an Infrastructure Analyst/Engineer to support them in providing ongoing maintenance and monitoring of the server and network infrastructure, as well as support on various projects which will incorporate a variety of technologies.

This is a great opportunity to join an established IT team in a collaborative working environment, but also to get involved in some really interesting projects that will allow you to put your skills and knowledge to the test!

Some of things you will be doing, but not limited to:

  • Providing 3rd Line support to the service desk/desktop team with any server or network related issues
  • Designing & implementing new infrastructure
  • Consulting & advising on infrastructure problems, and providing suitable solutions
  • Act as technical resource, in support of project installations which utilise a variety of technologies
  • Ensure all IT systems function within the parameters of the Service Level Agreements (SLA's)


Skills essential for the role:

  • Experience supporting VMWare environments
  • Experience supporting Citrix, ideally Citrix Xenapp
  • Solid experience with MS Server technologies, preferably Active Directory & Exchange
  • Experience in providing up to 3rd line IT support
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • A good understanding of networking principles
