Data, Technology & Analytics (DTA) at is on a mission to bring customers more of what they love by unlocking the power of data. We are working with the rest of this company to create innovative data products that are going to change and bring value to our customers.

You will:

  • Work with senior business stakeholders to form an understanding of the business' information needs and priorities both current and future, in relation to the business' strategic roadmap

  • Work alongside equivalent technology-focused Enterprise Architects to stay informed of and evaluate technologies and solutions in the context of the business' strategic roadmap and information needs, and to select and promote technologies and solutions that further the capabilities and performance of data products.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance of the information architecture and data product set

  • Keep the Data Management team informed of changes to data landscape, and work to ensure our data governance processes are considered and correctly applied to all products and components to safeguard compliance

  • Provide leadership and guidance to Solution Architects and Delivery teams where appropriate

  • Develop capability models, strategies, roadmaps and associated artefacts for the Enterprise Architecture Framework

  • Understand delivery team needs, manage expectations around delivery, work collaboratively and negotiate to facilitate delivery

  • Perform oversight of solution design and delivery activities to ensure appropriate, reliable and workable technology solutions are developed, implemented and available to meet business information needs that conform to the enterprise architecture framework

  • Embrace diversity and promote a culture of inclusion, trust and transparency

  • Communicate information architecture capabilities and status throughout our company.

You'll have:

  • Previously worked as an information architect

  • Data architecture experience

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and AWS

  • Cloud experience

  • RDMS and SQL

  • Experience with designing data products

  • Must have previously designed Logical data models

  • 7+ years of commercial IT change and programme experience

  • Experience of working with senior stakeholders in developing future plans

  • Experience in either solution and/or information architecture

  • 5 years Data Modelling experience, conceptual and logical modelling.

  • Experience working with RDMS and SQL

  • Strong familiarity with Data warehousing approaches such as Inmon and Kimball

  • Experience designing data products or migrating services to a cloud environment

  • Demonstrable knowledge of at least one mainstream cloud technology (GCP, AWS, AZURE)

  • Demonstrated implementation and experience of most aspects of enterprise architecture frameworks to help manage and optimise business operations in an architectural context

  • Experience working in fast paced data rich environments designing data solutions with a strong ability to identify opportunities and define strategy

  • Experience developing and maintaining business capability models

  • Experience developing target architectures from conceptual to logical views

  • Excellent knowledge of data engineering best-practices

  • Experience in designing service-oriented architectures in the cloud

  • Excellent presentation skills and be highly confident speaking both with senior stakeholders, as well as to a wide range of levels, including Architects, Vendors, Developers, Operations and Group Security

  • Strong awareness of current technology and trends and a track record

of keeping skills up to date as technologies change and evolve

  • Knowledge of the principles governing best practice in enterprise architecture, governance and operations

  • An ability to 'think outside the box' to come up with pragmatic solutions

  • Strong written communication skills, and be an excellent communicator

  • Strong analytical skills and be comfortable using data and analytics to inform product decisions and business strategy

  • Demonstrated good time management and prioritisation

  • High energy and be a passionate individual who inspires teammates to reach their maximum potential

Desirable:

  • Previous data product development experience

  • TOGAF certified

  • GCP or AWS Certified

  • SAFE or related Agile certification

  • Project or Programme Management experience

  • Product Management experience

  • Experience of working in or with distributed teams and stakeholders across multiple locations either directly or remotely

  • Experience in a strategic role reporting up to senior director level

  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or related degree
