An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual who is looking for a new HR challenge. If successful you will work within the Workplace Solutions Specialists Team, and will play an integral part in advising, engaging and supporting the HR Business Partner Practice and the wider business with advisory services such as alternative resolution and formal case management.
Role purpose / summary
Motivated, collaborative and determined you will:
- Contribute and align to the HR Business Partner Practice activities and priorities providing value in terms of specific measures.
- Provide well-constructed advice and strategic solutions, promoting best practice, cost benefit analysis & innovative thinking on strategic case management with resolution at the heart.
- Building relationships with core teams for example, Legal to shape the strategy for case management, including identifying risk.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to all stakeholders on processes, policies, solutions and generalist advice.
- Carry out in-depth reporting to the business on all elements of people data, at all levels of the organisation.
- Support HR projects and initiatives including people management education & training.
- Working closely with our ER and legal teams to support on complex case advice including ACAS Early Conciliation and Employment Tribunal matters.
Key Skills/ requirements
- Experience in the following areas are a must: workspace solutions, grievance, disciplinaries, DSAR, legislative knowledge, TUPE
- Proven experience in a HR generalist role or ER SME with a good understanding of employment law, case management, alternative resolution approaches, restructuring, TUPE consultation and Settlement Agreements.
- People Management experience including mentoring and coaching.
- Commercial focus with developing ability to articulate HR in terms of business benefit. Experience with forecasting and budgets would be ideal.
- Keen to challenge "accepted practice" where appropriate and have the drive for seeking out and delivering value add work.
- Ability to balance policy and process with a pragmatic and commercial approach to case handling which meets the requirements of the business and mitigates risk to the organisation.
- Ability to interpret data and identify trends, leading to presentation of solutions to senior business leaders.
- Be able to prioritise and proactively manage multiple HR cases whilst working to tight deadlines.
- Ability to smoothly navigate and manage complex stakeholder relationships in a matrix organisation.
- An articulate and diplomatic communicator who can engage with a wide network of stakeholders and manage their needs.
- Ability to coach and support managers at all levels in leadership skills and people related development.
- An excellent team player with the ability to successfully collaborate with colleagues acting as part of one HR team.
