Are you a pragmatic Business Development leader, who is capable of designing and implementing a business growth strategy, engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across Strategic Command, the Front Line Commands and Defence Equipment & Support, do you have excellent knowledge of military operations, capability development and how the business of Defence is conducted? Our global client are looking to appoint an individual to be the MOD Account Head of Business Development with responsibility for Strategic Command, the Front Line Commands and Defence Equipment & Support. You will be a leader through actions and team management who has a detailed understanding of Defence at an intellectual and capability level, be proficient at engaging across their respective hierarchies and be comfortable shaping which digital and IT capabilities are procured as they continue on their digital transformation journeys.

Reporting to the MOD Account Director, the successful candidate will own the business development and relationship management for the future growth of the MOD Account. You will have the versatility and credibility to influence at 2 and 3-star levels, whilst ensuring that the organisation is seen as the partner of choice by the procurement teams and decision makers at 1-star and below. The successful candidate must have strong leadership and people management skills to lead a team of Business Development Executives and CTO aligned professionals.

The next 36 months represents a uniquely exciting time with realisation of the Digital Backbone, Multi Domain Integration, and programmes such as Defence Digital's Next Generation Communications Network, the Army's LE TacCIS, the RAF's ASTRA approach, and the Royal Navy's Nelson.

Deep understanding of the UK Defence competitor landscape will be needed to underpin accurate selection of partners to improve the probability of winning business. To achieve this, the successful candidate will be required to influence the development of new offerings focused on the highest priority needs of the MOD.
