Global Head of Reward

The Global Head of Reward sits within the People and Leadership Function and will report directly into the Chief People Officer. The organisation is a truly global business operating in more than 160 countries, you will take responsibility for setting the total reward strategy for circa 3000 employees worldwide.

You will be responsible for understanding the longer-term business strategy and designing a leading edge reward and benefits strategy that aligns to the mission of providing inclusive benefits to attract and retain the best talent to deliver on our promise of creating the place where we all want to work.

This is a strategic role which will include an operational focus. You will direct all total reward programmes globally, optimise and execute total reward processes, incentive compensation, executive compensation, reward and recognition programmes, benefits, and employee discount schemes.

  • Understand the businesses culture commercially, operationally, and strategically and demonstrate affinity with the organisation's core values to deliver a total reward strategy and philosophy that supports rewarding for performance and advances Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging across the globe within the total reward offering.
  • Partner with key stakeholders and business leaders to develop and execute total reward strategies keeping abreast of global and business drivers, challenges and strategies advancing innovation and best in class practices.
  • Ensure our reward practices are aligned internally and are externally competitive, support the market rate determination process via research and benchmarking and ensure our global grading addresses local market challenges so that we remain competitive and can continue to attract, engage, and retain talent.
  • Advise business leadership and provide thought leadership regarding total reward matters through acting as subject matter expert, providing insights on marketplace trends, relevant laws and regulations and competitive programmes.
  • Contribute to management of the Remuneration Committee, including preparatory work through to presenting in meetings.
  • Ensure the organisation achieves its business strategy and demonstrates alignment to compensation principles as determined by the Remuneration Committee.
  • Support the delivery of a total reward strategy that creates a meritocracy and differentiated reward that drives colleagues to deliver superior performance so that we embed a performance culture - create a more individual performance driven approach to Reward, less 'vanilla' and more bespoke supporting the development and rollout of programmes where necessary.
  • Direct benefit review activities in partnership with selected vendors. Ensure effective leader and employee communications with regards to benefits, discounts and other programs and ensure seamless implementation of annual benefit cycles.


If you have the following experience, then we think you should apply

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent. A member of the CIPD or other relevant professional body.
  • Demonstrable experience of reward strategy design and development, supplier management with In-depth knowledge of external developments and emerging best practice in the total reward arena.
  • Experience of working in a global business (professional services experience preferred), demonstrating knowledge of the global landscape, legislative requirements, benefits and best practice
  • Proven track record as a senior reward leader, ideally within an international organisation of comparable scale and complexity
  • Experience of leading and challenging the reward strategy as contribution to the Remuneration Committee; In both preparing work with papers and through presenting at Remuneration Committee itself.
  • Credibility and strength of personality to operate as part of a senior team, with the necessary interpersonal skills and commercial insight to sell ideas to business leaders and create meaningful reward interventions relevant to the business agenda that the leadership then adopts.
  • Strong leadership skills to drive a high-performance culture across the organisation, engaging and energising global teams whilst developing and sustaining strong relationships.
