Frontend Developer

* Develop Web UI components for the Markets Execution department as defined by business requirements and prioritization - mainly focusing on new BARX Pay project
* The ideal candidate will fit into the team and will participate in design discussions and prototype proof of concept solutions and then develop with his team a robust, performant and maintainable system, that can be placed in production and serve our customers.
* Once the system is in production, you may sometimes act as a last line of defence in case of urgent issues. Your task will be to analyse them, suggest workarounds and ideally fix the code for the next release. The day-to-day support of the production instances is in the hands of a different team though.

Key Accountabilities:
* Develop solutions to problems both tactical and strategic, as the business requires it.
* Work closely with the business users to understand requirements and deliver high quality solutions
* Provide estimates for tasks, including design, development and testing
* Extend and support the low-latency system to meet the business requirements

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
* Good Knowledge of HTML5/ CSS / JavaScript - particularly React/Redux.
* Experience in UX design & prototyping.
* Experience of JavaScript unit testing practices.

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in Java programming.
* Experience designing and developing REST APIs.
* Good knowledge of Spring & Spring Boot.
* Experience of working with a micro service architecture, cloud infrastructure and principles.
* Experience working with application containers e.g. Docker.
* A team player who takes initiative and can influence the development of the system.
* Preferred Qualifications
o Technology/Engineering university degree.
