Fortinet Security Engineer - NGFW - Contract - National/Homebased - £400-500p/d - Ongoing (Outside IR35) Decommission and Migration to NGFW Fortinet & Fortigate Firewalls/Associated Work-streams

Fortinet Fortigate NGFW, Routing, Switching, MPLS, BGP, QoS, IGRP and OSPF. Network Design (LLD), Projects, Implementations, Network Security, Technical Mentoring and Guidance.

Renowned organisation with an envied history is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer. Supporting multiple clients remotely through firewall decommission and NGFW implementation using Fortinet/Fortigate technology. Senior Level experience with excellent Fortinet Fortigate NGFW experience

You will provide a senior level of project support (3rd & 4th Line) and subject matter expertise.

This post will require to be a "tenacious completer" that is also responsible for ensuring alignment and prioritisation to meet live system deadlines and project timescales.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery of NGFW Firewall Services to ensure you provide quality driven, high-level technical Implementation of the Fortinet/ Fortigate environment

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Routing & Switching
  • Design/ LLD, Planning
  • MPLS, BGP, OSPF
  • Fortinet Fortigate NGFW expertise
  • The support of project planning activities
  • Defining the correct approach and activities for projects to reach their technical goals
  • Define and assure the planning, scheduling and technical detail
  • Change Requests and routine maintenance activities for the team.
  • Define, assure and manage the planning for Root Cause Analysis activities.
  • Be responsible for capacity planning and capacity management, proactively identifying required improvements and capacity constraints.
