One of the worlds largest financial institutions is looking for a Developer to join their organisation on a day rate contract.
They are looking for someone with the following skills:
Primary Technical Skills
- Proven experience in programming at least 2 of the following technologies: .Net (C# or otherwise) / Java (or a derivative using JVM/JRE) / Python.
- Development experience with 1 or more industry standard RDBMS (Oracle / PostgreSQL / Sybase / MS SQL Server).
- Concrete knowledge of and experience in Web Services and API development
- Involvement in O/S and/or application services scripting in any of Unix/Linux shell; Powershell; Javascript; Perl; other.
Secondary / Desirable Technical skills:
- A good understanding of *Nix and/or Windows operating systems (preferably both).
- Solid understanding of data markup and transport languages and protocols (XML; JSON; REST; SOAP; etc).
- Experience and/or understanding of regular expressions.
- Exposure or experience in 1 or more Web development frameworks (Spring; Django; Flask; MVC; etc);
- Experience with working with Industry standard Middleware (messaging and web hosting).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in verbal, listening and written English is crucial.
- Enthusiastic willingness to rapidly and independently learn and develop technical and soft skills as needs require.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Good team player who embraces team work and mutual support in a diverse working community.
- Willing to provide occasional weekend support or cover as needs require.
