Cyber Security Analyst

Experis are currently hiring a Cyber Security Analyst for our central government client. The successful contract will manage, scan and monitor Vulnerability and SIEM technologies (LogRyhthm) to detect and respond to threats and vulnerabilities.

You will be essential in ensuring that industry best practice security standards are implemented across the business.

The role is inside of IR35 and will be a very long contract.

The role is hybrid, with 3 days a week required in the office.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and guidance on good practice and maintain relevant and current industry knowledge.
  • Develop up to date cybersecurity information and trends in threats and vulnerabilities from NCSC and other cybersecurity platforms.

  • Provide security advice relating to patch management and the scalability of vulnerability management and cloud security.
  • Assist in the review and authorising change requests and implemented changes.
  • Perform due diligence on third part Suppliers of IT solutions and projects.
  • Identify current and future threat and recommend remedial actions.
  • Setup, Review and update corporate information security policies, standards, processes, and collaborating with other team members during implementations.
  • Conduct Internal audit and perform information assurance of security posture through monitoring security system status.
  • Organise Penetration testing and Cyber Essential plus Certification.
  • Review generated logs (Firewall, Active Directory, IPS/IDS, Antivirus and Windows)
  • Act as first point of contact for all security related incidents.
