Overview:

My client is currently recruiting from a Glasgow based company (with the option of remote/hybrid working) to join their team as a Marketing Content Executive.

This opportunity is perfect for an experienced Content Marketer who is willing to join a fast-paced, rapidly growing company.

What will the role involve?

Joining the marketing team, you will be welcomed into a super friendly and open environment. Working closely with the Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Executive, the role will involve taking responsibility for producing and directing the company's marketing content strategy.

In addition to designing the marketing content strategy, the successful candidate will also be expected to produce exciting and fresh content in a variety of different formats. These formats include writing engaging pieces for anything from blogs, articles, abstracts and interviews. Moreover, the candidate must be able to write in a more formal business sense, as the content can also include white papers, press releases and, potentially, eBooks. In order to perform these tasks successfully, it is also required that the applicant has a keen eye and can identify gaps in content and keyword requirements. This is a great opportunity to be the bridge between a highly respected company and their audience, within a booming industry.

Some other responsibilities within the role may include:

  • Producing copy that is SEO optimized and in line with supplied target keywords.
  • Proofreading copy and content.
  • Distributing of content to relevant industry press for publication
  • Building relationships with industry publications/journalists in order to secure article coverage
  • Monitoring and reporting press and social media coverage where applicable.
  • Managing paid content on 3rd party sites, and report coverage.
  • Identifying trends in opinions, hot industry topics, and monitor competitor content

What skills/experience do I need?

  • Excellent copywriting and communication skills
  • Excellent organization and priority management skills
  • Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail
  • Computer literate, and proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and PPT)
  • The ability to work without supervision, to self-manage, and work as a team

  • A minimum of 2/3 years' experience in a similar role
  • A minimum of 2/3 years' experience writing white papers, articles, press releases, blogs etc is essential

What's in it for you?

  • Competitive salary (DOE)
  • Flexible working - 34 hour work week with core hours of 10am to 3.30pm
  • Option to work remotely, in office, or a balance of both (ideally you would like to come in once at least week but it is not a requirement)
  • Excellent Private Medical Insurance (after passing of probationary period)
  • A generous pot of holidays (annual leave & public holidays combined)
  • City centre office in Glasgow (temporarily closed due to COVID-19 restrictions)
  • Monthly company funded socials and twice-yearly parties
  • A major highlight of working within this company is they offer a 4 day working week work schedule - for the same pay!
