Role Title: Cloud Infrastructure Architect
Location: Fully remote
Duration: 6 months
Rate: £600 - £650 per day, Via Umbrella Only
Role Description:
Cloud Infrastructure Architects define, design and deliver a comprehensive and coherent transformation implementation across Business, Information, Systems and Technology through strong technical Cloud and Infrastructure expertise. They design the entire Cloud- and Infrastructure-based IT lifecycle to deliver business change, which may be enabled by Cloud.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 15+ years of IT experience with at least 7-10 years in cloud architecture, specifically focusing on Microsoft Azure.
- Deep understanding of Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Virtual Machines, App Services, Azure Functions, AKS, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Storage.
- Extensive experience with cloud security practices, identity and access management (IAM), and data protection techniques in Azure.
- Strong firsthand experience with Azure DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM Templates.
- Proven experience in large-scale cloud migrations, cloud-native application design, and multi-cloud integrations.
- Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting in Azure environments, leveraging tools like Azure Monitor, Azure Security Center, and Log Analytics.
- Solid knowledge of networking and hybrid cloud solutions, including VPNs, VNETs, and ExpressRoute.
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, and other scripting languages for automation.
- Strong critical thinking skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in an Agile environment.
- Experience with serverless computing on Azure (Azure Functions, Logic Apps).
- Knowledge of DevOps culture and processes.
