Our client, LRQA, is currently seeking a Client Manager to act as the liaison between them and two nuclear suppliers. This is a predominantly remote role with occasional travel to Bristol and London.

Role purpose
The Nuclear Client Manager will be responsible for overall operational delivery control including, scope allocation and resource agreement with delivery teams, regular reporting including Board minutes/actions, KPIs, budget and spend control, quality of services, effective communication with the client and the ITPIA supply chain, plus any other duties deemed reasonable as agreed during execution of the role.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Manage successful customer relationships by building relationships, customer data, core processes and standards for customer interactions; Expertly balance their needs with meeting necessary procedures and regulations.
- Maintain existing and newly acquired business with superior service; Facilitate customer's technical queries and help build a knowledge database; Understand customer's businesses; Help prepare customer surveys and resolve disputes
- Manage contractual instructions to LRQA-Apave's suppliers; ensure clear work scope definition; clear and relevant hourly effort budget and balanced plan
- Support budget preparation for the LRQA-Apave company, extracting data from the project budgets and historical files to meet company goal of equitable split between suppliers
- Produce the reports and deliverables within the agreed broad parameters in an appropriate format and take responsibility to review other employee's work as appropriate. Responsible for progressing Board meeting actions.
- Pursue Continuing Professional Development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
- Assess, recommend and endorse the scope, cost, time, resources and value of the work to be undertaken for an internal/external client, meeting contractual and project requirements.
- Discuss/ present the deliverable with the internal/external client up to senior level and be able to suggest alternative solutions where appropriate.
- Implement improvements in service delivery and help build the business based on internal/external client feedback.
- Coach, mentor and technically develop other employees, as appropriate and disseminate information to achieve effective knowledge transfer and application.
- Ensure that activities are allocated and delivered in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation and industry standards.
- Overview of work allocated to ensure it is in accordance with management system requirements, cost structures and budgetary/contractual requirements.
Requirements
- Shall possess a relevant Bachelor's degree from a recognised university or equivalent.
- Likely to be Chartered Engineer, Professional Engineer or equivalent.
- Customer focused with the ability to build sustainable, operational and commercial relationships and alliances
- Detail-oriented and organised individual with excellent time-management skills
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented mindset
- Experience in Quality Management, Inspection or engineering supply chains or related fields
- Able to communicate and influence effectively at all levels both inside LRQA & Apave and with clients. (Proficient in English both written and verbal).
- Experienced in formulating and implementing business plans and strategies to meet operational objectives
- Knowledge of spoken or written French would be an advantage
