Job Title: Azure Data Support Engineer

Location: United Kingdom, Remote

PAYE Contract: 18 Months

Salary Equivalent: £35,000-£60,000

The Role:

We are in search of an Azure Data Support Engineer to join a global leader in technology, providing a wide range of products and services that strengthen individuals and organisations to achieve more with their work. You will be solving complex issues, delivering personalised solutions, and provide quality support that their global customers rely on.

Responsibilities:

  • Take the lead in guiding customers through their support journey, delivering solutions to their issues that are both timely and precise. Collaborate closely with a diverse range of global customers, including a substantial number of Fortune 500 companies.
  • Confront and resolve the most demanding and crucial technical issues for their customers and partners, leaving a profound impact on their interaction with their products and services.
  • Connect with their customers across various channels, ensuring their concerns are comprehended and effectively addressed. Contribute to team-wide shifts, covering business needs, and share responsibilities, including "on-call" duties and weekend work.
  • Recognise and report software bugs and customer suggestions, serving as the customer's representative within our organisation and contributing to the formulation of their customer support strategy.
  • Act as a liaison with the internal development teams, championing product enhancements that can ease customer challenges and enhance their overall experience.

Tech Stack/Experience:

  • Azure certifications, like Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Developer Associate, are advantageous.
  • Robust understanding of data integration concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and data transformation techniques, coupled with a strong enthusiasm for Data Engineering.
  • Over 5 years of experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, focusing on Data Integration services. Proven ability to swiftly and effectively learn new technologies and tools, coupled with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Azure Data Factory's built-in expression language.
  • Relevant Networking and Security knowledge, encompassing both private and public networks, along with expertise in RESTful API development and integration.
  • Solid foundation in Data Engineering, including a comprehension of databases, data retrieval via query languages like SQL or Kusto(KQL), and experience with data management and visualisation.
  • Proven capability in conducting comprehensive troubleshooting and debugging, adept at resolving intricate problems. Track record in technical support and ability to flourish in a dynamic, high-volume setting, you showcase resourcefulness and excel in prioritising multiple demands, demonstrating a keen sense of when and how to prioritise tasks.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to cultivate and sustain robust relationships with clients, comprehend their needs, and ensure their satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in handling and resolving conflicts or challenging situations with clients, both internally and externally, while maintaining a positive and professional demeanour.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, including the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams such as product management and engineering, ensuring a seamless support experience for clients.
  • Demonstrated capacity to adapt to evolving technology trends, staying ahead of the latest product features and best practices to drive innovative support solutions.
  • Proven experience in identifying areas for process improvement, suggesting innovative strategies to streamline support operations, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or a related field.
