Purpose of Job:
Working within the Cisco CPaaS Business Unit, the role will be focused on ensuring compliance with Cisco revenue recognition policies.
The role will work alongside the existing Client Success Managers (CSMs) as it will include chasing for new or top up POs in a timely manner to reduce risk on non-compliant revenue recognition.
The role will also serve as the single point of contact for the Cisco billing team to call upon for updated communications and issue resolution.
Principal Accountabilities (responsibilities and duties):
The ideal candidate will be expected to learn and undertake the following tasks:
* Developing new internal relationships with key roles (CSMs, Finance, Accounts Receivable, etc. teams)
* Understand Cisco's Revenue Recognition Policies
* Clean inherited non compliant revenue issues and then identify which customers might become non compliant in next 30/60/90 days due to invalid PO, low PO balance etc.
* Work in partnership with the global CSM teams to manage aged debt
* Be the eyes and ears to complete a "common sense check" against proposed monthly customer billing
* Provide timely reporting to regional CSM team leaders and maintain updated progress reports/trackers
Key Performance Indicators:
* Reduce inherited non-compliant revenue by 80% in first 90 days
* Garner positive internal feedback by becoming a trusted advisor to address the revenue recognition policies that govern the business
* Establish good working relationship with all internal teams - build mutually beneficial relationships based on a collaborative approach.
Experience, Qualifications and Technical Knowledge:
* Minimum 2 years' experience of the Collaboration SaaS industry in the UK or South Africa
* Proven client relationship development skills
* Proven ability to deliver results through others outside of own line management chain
* A client focused, can-do and proactive attitude
* Fast learner, and comfortable working in a technical solution environment
* Great communication skills
* Experienced working across multiple fast-moving teams
* A background in collections or working with finance teams
* Experienced in using Microsoft Office applications (PPT, Excel, word)
* Desirable to have experience of cloud based, SaaS products used in communications platforms and contact center
* Desirable to have a background in a Finance/Marketing Communications disciplines
* Desirable to have a relevant Finance degree level qualification
