Experis are looking to speak with Experienced and newly qualified Criminal Defence Solicitors for a particularly exciting opportunity specialising within serious crime.
You will be involved at all stages of the defence, from police station visits, initial hearing and trial advocacy and full case preparation and litigation. You will need to have the ability to manage a large case load of serious crimes.
Responsibilities will include:
- Provide legal advice to clients on matters relating to serious offences
- Attend Police Stations inside and outside of office hours
- Represent clients in court proceedings, from bail to pre-trial conferences and trial advocacy and sentencing hearings
- Depending on experience, there is potential for this role to take a leadership aspect and manage a small team of Criminal Duty Solicitors
Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor registered with the SRA
- Police Station Accredited
- Qualified Duty Solicitors
- You should require minimal supervision, have strong initiative and be extremely robust
