Role: UX / UI Designer

Location: Glasgow or Northampton - Hybrid 2 days per week on site

Duration: 6 Months

Day rate: £400 per day inside IR35

Role Description:

Helping to embed accessibility into our clients HR internal systems and workplace tools by providing accessibility support, consultancy and testing.

Essential skills and experience:

  • take a lead role in evaluating and testing the accessibility of digital services so that they're accessible and inclusive for all users, including people with disabilities.
  • provide expert guidance on accessibility compliance, project manage enhancements and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that internal systems and suppliers meet the highest accessibility standards
  • foster a culture of accessibility, advocate for inclusive design, and drive accessibility integration across all facets of our organisation.
  • Conduct accessibility audits and testing of digital products against WCAG 2.2 and other relevant accessibility guidelines.
  • Support in identifying and addressing accessibility issues in existing digital assets.
  • Advise cross-functional teams on accessibility best practices throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Engage and influence external suppliers to evidence and uplift their accessibility performance.
  • Project manage accessibility assessments and long-term strategic planning, straddling internal product teams and external suppliers.
  • Engage with other accessibility advocates and disabled users to gather insights and feedback.
  • Develop and implement organisation-wide accessibility policies and guidelines.
