Job Description:
1. Cloud Strategy & Migration
a. Experience of translating the current client application and service landscape in to broad patterns and assumptions to help build a Top Down Programme Business Case.
b. Identifying the patterns and treatments (lift & Shift, Transform, Remediate etc) that could apply to a current service or services, and the candidate tech from the Hyperscaler.
c. We need to document our assumptions, but this is not detailed design; so someone comfortable working at that level is needed. (Inputting in to a government PBC).
d. Experience across the app & data migration / transformation landscape is key. The client has a mix of public facing products and enabling services across a number of established domains.
2. Business case input - Costings
a. The Business Case is the only client Deliverable, and we have business case specialists working on the project to drive it. These roles will do the work that enables the tech activity that's going to be needed to be costed.
Client is currently using hosted datacentres, and wants to move out by end of 2024
The Services they provide are CNI.
They'll need to consider the broad treatment options like transform, re-factor, migrate as-is etc and document these planning assumptions for the Business Case.
Key Technical Skills:
Cloud Transformation, Cloud Transformation Costing, At least one Hyperscaler actual experience (Any of AWS, Azure, GCP),
