Software Engineering Community Manager - Operational - London
The work location is in Paddington, London and is a 3 month contract.
The pay rate on offer is £600 - £700 per day.
The role is working for a large multinational retail client.
Overview
Looking for an individual that has experience in helping to create and manage a Software Engineering function. This role has a strong focus on community and operations, primarily involved with revising our onboarding processes and experience, recruitment activity, community management, communications and more of the operational side of running a function. Not a hands-on technical role, but person needs to have experience working in a technical environment with technical people and understand the world of engineering and its culture at a deep level.
- Works closely with the Software Development Manager and Head of Software Engineering
- Help to build the client's software engineering function from the ground up
- Key areas of focus within the software engineering function - onboarding process, recruitment process, L&D, event planning, communications, career frameworks
- The role suits someone who is strong on the people/business side, with a base understanding of technical environments
- Experience at an enterprise level company would be beneficial given the scale of work
- An individual willing to work with a certain level of ambiguity, across different business areas with various deliverables
