Python and Puppet Developer
IR35 Status - PAYE Engagement only
Duration - 6 Months +
Start Date - ASAP
Location - Hybrid, London & remote
We are looking for someone who has expertise and experience in Puppet, Python and Shell Development. This contract is mostly remote working and initially for 6 months.
Role Specific Expertise and Experience:
- Automation / Development skills in Puppet
- DB Security / Tooling Support Domain
- Experience of working in a large enterprise
General Knowledge & Experience:
- Experience in automation and configuration management using Puppet.
- Experience Developing framework and tasks in Puppet.
- Minimum 3 years experience of using Puppet and Python/Shell.
- Experience in release promotion, release packaging and release deployment.
- Knowledge of Puppet configuration management tool. Creating or editing modules, maintaining Hiera datasets.
- Knowledge of version control principles for software release management.
- Knowledge of branching, merging and creating release branches/tags.
- Bash scripting knowledge.
- Linux, knowledge of RHEL 6.x/7.x/8.x administration, handling Linux services and filesystem management.
