Primary purpose of the job:

Reporting to the IT Supplier and Service Delivery Manager, the role has overall responsibility for managing IT suppliers, covering contractual, commercial & compliance activities, across the full spectrum of the supplier lifecycle.

Works in close co-operation with the IT Service Delivery Managers, Legal, Risk, Finance, Procurement and supplier organisations.

Main responsibilities:

The role is responsible for supplier management activities throughout the lifecycle, from definition of a new service through tendering, contract award, in life governance and management to retirement/replacement.

Good understanding IT supplier categories such as Software, Hardware, Software as a Service (SaaS), Network Management Systems and Telecoms.

The scope of the role includes new service planning, tendering & selection, supplier performance (e.g. fulfilment of contractual commitments, including SLAs, compliance with enterprise policies and procedures such as Information Security, Risk Control, Outsourcing, Compliance, Finance, etc.) and end of life management.

The role co-ordinates and coheres stakeholder interests for representation to suppliers

The main responsibilities of the role are to:

  • Establish effective relationships with IT suppliers and ensure alignment between internal stakeholder groups (Legal, Service Delivery/Operational management, Legal, Procurement, leadership and the supplier organisation).
  • Accountable for delivering specific category supplier change as prescribed by the IT Sourcing Strategy, identifying service requirements and providing effective partnerships, assuring the performance of suppliers in delivering sustainable services to our growing business.
  • Define and capture in contract commercial terms such as service level agreements, performance metrics, service credits, change requests and regular reporting to enable effective supplier partnerships to assure that supplier risks are managed and controlled.
  • Contribute to the wider monthly supplier portfolio reviews and scorecards by demonstrating adherence to policies and controls as an enterprise and Specific IT deliverables.
  • Proactive engagement with delegated suppliers that includes structured feedback from key stakeholders in the IT function regarding the perception of and/or delivery of supplier services to ensure that supply continues to be to the required standard and fit for purpose.
  • Lead reviews to ensure supplier delivery fulfils or exceeds performance requirements and that regulatory contractual obligations are met, working in close collaboration with stakeholder groups (IT Service Delivery/Operations, IT Risk, Information Security, Legal, etc.),
  • Lead supplier escalations where necessary including breaches of contract for IT stakeholders for assigned suppliers, planning and managing such escalations to resolve and minimise supplier risk to business operations.
  • Proactively manage and turnaround suppliers for any assigned services where a shortfall in supplier performance is identified (e.g. Compliance, risk management, contract breaches, etc.) Develop and agree improvement plans with suppliers and stakeholders and oversee delivery. Escalate to Supplier and Service Delivery Manager, Procurement, Legal and other senior stakeholders when required.
  • Lead all tender activities representing IT stakeholders in the process, in collaboration with Procurement & Legal functions.
  • Work closely with Risk, Legal and Procurement functions to ensure adherence to process and policy changes relating to assigned IT suppliers or supplier categories in order to assure compliant and secure supplier relationships for outsourced IT services.
  • Lead annual executive and quarterly management contract reviews with assigned suppliers to ensure supplier strategies are aligned and consistent strategy.
  • Responsible for the effective on-boarding of new suppliers and the disentanglement of redundant suppliers as assigned to manage the risks in supplier engagement and minimise the risks to business processes.
  • Contribute to maturing and adherence to regulatory standards, FCA, PRA, ECB requirements and global corporate requirements set out to assure supplier compliance and avoid regulatory and policy breaches.
